I must confess that the election of a song that represents my life, or at least a portion of it, was a hard task to accomplish. I had spent the whole week listening to different songs, that I like most, trying to relate them with any significant aspect in my life. I felt that all the attempts in finding the indicated one were in vain until my friend texted me and sent me a song which I curiously dismissed. The song was Sir Elton John´s masterpiece "your song". Since the moment I pressed play I knew that I had finally found what I was looking for, but I also realized that I did not know much about its background. Surfing the web, I discovered an interesting fact that called my attention, the song was written by Elton´s co-writer Bernie Taupin one morning of 1967 while he was having breakfast in Elton´s mother´s kitchen, and what is even more incredible is that Elton wrote the music for it in twenty minutes. How could that be possible? It really surprised me because I did not expect that such a beautiful song was created under those conditions.
The reasons to choose this song are quite simple. Firstly, because I love the way in which feelings are expressed. In the first stanza the writer shows that the love he feels is unselfish and pure.

Furthermore, in the second stanza, he reinforces this idea showing that what comes from the heart is what really matters.

Secondly, I have chosen  this song becouse it reminds me two important moments in my life in which I thought
                             ' How wonderful life is while you are in the world'
The first moment was my child´s birth which was the happiest day in my life and the second moment was the day I met the man who become  my  partner.
Finally, the selected video does not belong to the original version. However, I found a cover whose images and music merges fantastically.
