Choose the best among the several topic sentences for each paragraph below.


1. I saw around Velva a release from what was like slavery to the tyrannical soil, release from the ignorance that darkens the soul and from the loneliness that corrodes it. In this generation my Velva friends have rejoined the general American society that their pioneering fathers left behind when they first made the barren trek in the days of the wheat rush.     It is very important to have in mind that in order to be successful in your writings you have to take into account the characteristics of a well written paragraph. First, you can not forget that a good topic sentence should be chosen. Second, a body which include supporting details for the topic sentence should be written. Finally, a closing sentence that restate  the topic sentence in a different way should be included.

Moreover, I found this task really useful, all the information provided in order to fulfill  this entry allowed me to recast some concepts as well as to do some practice that help me to spot the difference between the topic sentence and the rest of the paragraph.
